Parshas Haazinu (5779)

by Mordechai Dolinsky

Our Parsha are words Hashem prepared for us for chizuk.  We should make an attempt to glean that which was intended to inspire us.

We should preserve the loftiness, the inspiration, we attain on Yom Kippur, keeping close to kedusha as much as we can.

This Shabbos we should use as a spiritual preparation for Succos, delving into the true appreciation and responsibility of living with the Shchinah, and to familiarize ourselves with the many Halachic aspects of the Yom Tov.

Have a wonderful, inspiring, uplifting Shabbos.

Parshas Vayelech (5779)

31:1– “Vayelech Moshe”– the pasuk relates some kind of movement of Moshe. Often it is required of us a definite movement to enter the world of ruchnius of our materialistic surroundings.  How the state of superficiality blinds and making the necessity for the “move”.

We are presently in the great world of aseres yimai tshuva.  How awesome are the spiritual opportunities.

Have a marvelous first Shabbos and uplifting and inspiring days of awe.

Parshas Nitzavim

Parshas Netzavim 5761

“Atem Nitzavim” — You are standing today before Hashem. It is Erev Rosh Hashana, we are indeed standing before Hashem. Clal Yisroel, the U.S.A., and the world in general this week have lived through an event, an experience, so awesome, that we can simply know that are standing before Hashem.

In such a circumstance — one can not help but feel awed and experience a lacking of the exact words to say and comfort.

In this era of time, we are without the tools of the tactility to visualize and connect to Hashem in the conventional concept and manifestation of a kingdom and royalty. Our present world is void of the real actuality of Malchus.

With our present current events, above the clouds of smoke, dust, rubble, debris, and carnage, immerses the divine royalty, the divine kingdom and the awesome Malchus Shomayim.

This is the last Shabbos of the year. The Rebbe, Rav Avigdor Miller, z”l always inspired us to make this Shabbos a very special one in every way.

May the Shofar and our Teffilos this Rosh Hashana completely turn over the Middos Hadin to Rachabim Rabim, and bring with it the blessings of the most wonderful prosperous happiest year.

Good Shabbos
