Shabbos Chol HaMoed Pesach (5774)
by Mordechai Dolinsky

We say in the beginning of the Hagadda—ואילו לא הוציא הקב”ה …..
If Hashem didn”t redeem us we and our progeny would still be slaves to Pharoh. The limud and nekuda of the emuna is that every single thing is under the hashgachas Hashem and therefore if we are free it is only from Him. This is the true meaning of בכל דור ודור חייב …., a chiyuv for one to see himself as a יוצא מצרים. To such a degree, one must relate to his sons that Hashem redeemed ME.

We must work to feel this truth of truths. The only thing that stands between me and avdus Paroh is Hashem’s Will.

Have a simchadike, meaningful, wonderful Shabbos.

Pesach 5774
by Mordechai Dolinsky

We are ushering in the Pesach; starting from sunset until the last moment of tzais hakochavim, every day, every hour, moment and second is filled with Divine hashpaa of chizuk in emuna. The first night, leil haseder, the night of great revelation in Mitzrayim repeats itself again and the revelation of the malchus Hashem inspires our hearts. We must open our hearts to receive it. The rest of Pesach the avoda is to relate to the awesome, open demonstration. We do this by relating the events of of Hashem being megaleh the malchus Shomayim, His supremity over the universe. This is the mitzvah of sipur yetzias Mitzrayim and this is the avoda of the whole Pesach. The seder night is a lesson of how we should spend the rest of the nights of Pesach, by inspiring ourselves with the hundreds of nissim revealed in the Chumash and in Chazal.

Cling to every second—this is the source of our emuna nourishment for the year presented by Hashem with the glorious simchas hachag.

Have a wonderful, meaningful Yom Tov. Chag Kasher V’Sameach.

16:1 Rashi explains a special warning was given to Aharon not to fall into the trap of his sons. The question is asked does a great person such as Aharon need such a warning? The danger of the issur wasn’t a simple act of taavah but rather a result of deep and even deeper connecting with Hashem where a great person can lose himself over the inspiration and enthusiasm.

Have a great connection to the Shabbos HaGadol and a wonderful Shabbos.

Parshas Metzorah (5774)

Rashi 14:34 relates that the forty years Bnei Yisroel was in the desert the Canaanim hid their treasures in the walls which were discovered at the time of the nigai habayis. Why did they hide them during that time? Was it out of fear, like a vulture circulating around them? Perhaps we can say it was the mesiras nefesh of Clal Yisroel, their absolute sacrifice of all materialism. Can you imagine in the desert 40 years, no supermarket. Even with the miracles of the food one must be on a tremendous level of ruchnius. Hashem says: Kol hashomayah li aino mafsid.

Prepare for Pesach by learning the Hagaddah. Have a wonderful Shabbos.

9:1 It is wondrous that we are born to creating a tumah for the mother, immediately followed by tumas tzoraas. A lesson in “Asher Barah Elokim Laasos”. Hashem created us to cultivate ourselves, to purify ourselves. We are born into this world in a matzav that Hashem expects us to build ourselves from nothing.

Have a wonderful Shabbos and meaningful, redeeming Chodesh.

Parshas Vayikra (5774)

(1:1) Rashi says that to all our prophets the dibros were preceded with Vayikra, an expression of endearment, to the contrast of the gentile prophets who were spoken to in the lashon of Vayiker. It is amazing, the only difference between them being an aleph and here the Vayikra is written with a small aleph. The obvious mind-boggling lesson is that the smallest intonation can communicate all the difference.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

There is so much to speak about, to write about, the main thing is to keep in mind that every moment, every second, is only for שלמות and for fulfilling the Will of Hashem, to stand up to nisyonos and to spread the kavod Shomayim.

Have a wonderful Shabbos. Don’t forget—משנכנס אדר מרבים בשמחה.
