Parshas Beshalach (5768)
By Mordechai Dolinsky
(13:18) “Chamushim Yotzu”—there is an extraordinary Chazal in the parsha this week that is especially inspiring for us in this period in which we are faced with difficult tests and we must prepare ourselves for a proper level to be redeemed with the coming of Moshiach. There is general mentality of “whatever”—it will all be alright and O.K.. Chamushim yotzu—Chazal inform us that on that great day of redemption from Egypt only one fifth left—four fifths were not worthy. This is the most conservative opinion. Others say one out of fifty, one out of five hundred and one out of five thousand. Inspiring! Inspiring! Let’s get out act together.\
Have a wonderful Shabbos.
